Beginner Ballet
Ages 6–8 Annie Carlson

For the love of dance.
For the fun of it.
For every kind of dancer.

Some kids dream of the stage. Others just want to move, make friends, and have fun. There’s a place for both at Second Street—with caring instruction and room to grow at their own pace.

A little movement. A lot of smiles. Classes for kids who want to try something new, make friends, and enjoy being themselves—without joining a competitive team.

Focused training. Thoughtful placement. Space to develop an individual artistic voice.
Our approach emphasizes Vaganova ballet technique, contemporary, jazz, and modern. Dancers are evaluated for placement, with the exception of preschool levels, so training reflects ability and readiness.
Whether dance becomes a lifelong passion or a professional pursuit, we value discipline, teamwork, and a strong technical foundation.

Register onlineAttire and shoes depend on the class and ballet level. Ballet requires the assigned leotard, tights, and ballet shoes, with hair secured in a bun. Jazz, lyrical, and contemporary dancers wear black dancewear with hair secured. Tap shoes are required for tap; hip-hop dancers need clean shoes used only for dance. Confirm your class’s requirements before purchasing.
